Commissioners

An Act to authorise the laying out of a State road therein named.

The People of the State of Wisconsin represented in Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. That R. Walsh, William Wightman and George appointed to lay Ramsey are hereby appointed commissioners to lay out and es Direction there-tablish a State road from the village of West Bend in the county of Washington, to the village of Sheboygan Falls in the county of Sheboygan.

Supervisors to make compensation.

Proviso:

SEC. 2. The commissioners shall be entitled to such compensation for their services from the counties through which the road passes, as the board of Supervisors shall deem just. Provided, that no part of the expenses of laying out said road shall be paid out of the State treasury.

An Act to authorise Ebenezer Dakin to build a dam across White river.

The People of the State of Wisconsin, represented in Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows :

SECTION 1. That Ebenezer Dakin, his heirs and assigns, shall have to build and construct a dam, to the height of power twelve feet, across the White river, in the county of Marquette, on or near section seventeen, town seventeen, range eleven, for hydraulic purposes.

SEC. 2. That said Ebenezer Dakin shall be further empower-how improv ered, at his own cost to alter, enlarge and improve the channel of said river, from the point selected for the location of said dam, to its junction with Fox river, for the purpose of the free navigation of said White river.

The People of the State of Wisconsin, represented in Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. SEC. 2. Explanatory SEC. 4. This act shall not be so construed as to authorise the Treasurer of State to withhold from the county Treasurer of the connty of Jefferson any portion of the school money remaining in the state treasury, upon demand of such county Treasurer exhibiting to the State Treasurer the satisfactory evidence that he is the legally authorised Treasurer of said county of Jefferson.

Chap. 206. Act to authorise the construction of a Dam across the outlet of Long Pond, in

The People of the State of Wisconsin represented in Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. Harrison C. Hobart and Patrick Donahue, height. their associates, successors, heirs and assigns, are hereby authorised to build and maintain a dam to the height of five feet, across the outlet of Long Pond, in sections twenty-five and six, in township fourteen north, range nineteen east, in the county of Fond du Lac; also to erect mills or other machinery, or in any other manner make use of the water for hydraulic purposes. An Act to authorise the construction of a dam across the Manitowoc River

The People of the State of Wisconsin represented in Senate und Assembly do enact as follows:

Charles Klingholz, his associates, successors, Dam-who to build, maintain, heirs and assigns are hereby authorised to build and maintain &o. a dam across the Manitowoc river, at any point included within lots numbered one (1), two (2), or three (3) in section twenty-six (26), in township nineteen (19), north of range twentythree (23) east in the county of Manitowoc and State of Wisconsin; also to use the water of said river at or adjoining said Power to use wa point for the purpose of driving or working a flouring mill or ic purposes. mills, and for such other hydraulic purposes as he may deem expedient: Provided, the erection of the dam shall not flow Proviso. the lands of others than the said Charles Klingholz.

An Act to authorise certain State Roads therein named

The People of the State of Wisconsin, represented in Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows :

SECTION 1. That David Scott, Samuel Jones and C. E. P. Commissioners Hobart are hereby appointed commissioners to lay out a state out a road. road from Berlin in Marquette county, via Waupacca Falls, to Wausau in the county of Marathon, on the most direct and feasible route.

SECTION 2. Said commissioners are also authorised to lay out and establish a state road from Waupacca Falls to the Village of Mukwa, on the Wolf river.

An Act for the relief of the town of Alto.

The People of the State of Wisconsin representea in Senate and Assembly do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. That all roads heretofore laid out and established by the proper officers of the town of Alto, in the county of Fond du Lac, are hereby declared to be a public highway: Provided, That this act shall not affect any road which may have been discontinued by such officers.

SEC. 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
