An Act to authorize the City of Sheboygan to aid in the construction of a
Raili oad.

Chap. 1.
The people of the State of Wisconsin, represented in
Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. Asahel P. Lyman, John S. Harvey, William CommissionW. King, Henry Otten and Thomas Fagan, are hereby ap. pointed a board of commissioners, for the purpose of aiding in the construction of a railroad, authorized to be made from the city of Sheboygan, westwardly by the way

of Fond du Lac, to the Mississippi River.

SEC. 2. Said commissioners shall, previous to the trans- Officers. action of any other business, elect one of their number president, and one treasurer; and shall also appoint a secretary. The president, when present, shall preside at all meetings of the board for the transaction of business; and the secretary shall keep a record of all doings of said board. All meetings of said commissioners shall be at Sheboygan, at such time and place as shall be designated by a majority of them.

Sec. 3. The said commissioners are hereby authorized to Commissionborrow one hundred thousand dollars, upon the credit of ers authorized the city of Sheboygan, for twenty years or less, in such to borrow mosums as they may deem proper, at a rate of interest not exceeding ten per cent. per annum, payable annually in the city of New York, for the purpose of investing the same in the capital stock of a railroad company authorized to construct a railroad from the city of Sheboygan,

westwardly by the way of Fond du Lac, to the Mississippi River,
