To Patten Hall Constable for the Town of Manchester - Greeting ! 7 You are hereby required in the name of the State of Newhampshire to warn all the Inhabitants of said Town quallified to vote in Town affairs to meet at the Meetinghouse in said Town on Saturday the 26th day of July instant at four O. Clock P. M. to act on the following articles (Viz) Article 1st To Choose a Moderator to govern thee Meeting Article 2nd To see if the Town will choose an agent to oppose the Mammouth Road Article 3rd To see if the Town will vote to refund part or all of the money paid by Retailers and Taverners for Li cences And in warning the Inhabitants of said Town you are to give fifteen days notice by posting a copy of this Warrant at the Meetinghouse in said Manchester And to make due return of this Warrant on or before the Hour of holding said Meeting Given under our hands and seal at Manchester this fifth day of July 1828. Clock P. M. Met according to adjournment-proceeded to take the sinse of the meeting to know how many were in favour of the said road. and four rose in favour and about seventy rose against it. Voted to choose an agent to oppose the said road who is to be subject to the controul of the Selectmen - And Daniel Watts was chosen an agent to said road oppose Voted to dismiss the third article in the warrant meeting dissolved The At a Meeting of the Inhabitants of Manchester holden at the Meetinghouse in said Town a Venire was then read requiring the appointment of one Petit Juror to serve at the court of common Pleas to be holden at Amherst on the first Tuesday of September next Nathaniel Moor was chosen Moderator - Proceeded to draw from the box one man to serve at the Court of Common Pleas as aforsaid and John Stark was appointed for that purpose and he has been duly notified thereof Attest Manchester Aug. 16th 1828 Franklin Moor T.
