WARRANT FOR MARCH MEETING

To Daniel Hall Constable for the Town of Manchester, Greeting

You are hereby required in the name of the State of Newhampshire to notify and warn a meeting of the inhabitants of the town of Manchester who are qualified to vote in the Choice of Senators for the State Legislature to be holden on Tuesday the Eleventh day of March next at Ten of the Clock A. M. to act on the following articles, Viz

1st To Choose a Moderator to govern said meeting.

2nd To Choose a Town Clerk

3rd To Choose the Selectmen

4th To Vote by ballot for Governor, Counsellor, Senator, County Treasurer and Register of Deeds.

5th To Vote by ballot for one person for a Representative of this State in the Congress of the United States

6th To Choose a Representative to represent the town in General Court

yth To hear all Town accounts

8th To Choose all other Town officers

9th To see how much money the town will raise to pay town Charges the present year.

10th To see how much money the Town will raise to repair highways the present year.

11th Whereas a road leading from Hooksett leaving the L. Derry Turn pike near to Jacob Farnhams runing through Manchester L Derry & to Dracut Bridge, would greatly convene the public this article is incerted to see if the town will lay out (where it is not already done) their part of said Road begining at or near Starks bridge so called (meaning to meet that part of said road which belongs to the town of Hooksett to make) thence southerly on the best ground practicable to the highway near David Stevens house

thence by the Meetinghouse to Derry line, wherever it may be necessary to accomplish the object in view

12th To see if the town will lay out or straiten the road from the Perham Bridge so called, to the meeting house

13th To see if the town will lay out and open a Road from the Corner near John Websters by John Dickeys to the main road near Huses Bridge so called

14th To see if the Town will vote to give Benjamin Stevens more for a certain piece of Land taken for a highway than what the Selectmen allowed him. And in the warning and notification of said meeting you are to post a Copy of this Warrant at the meetinghouse in said Manchester fifteen days prior to the time of holding the same and make return of this warrant with your doings thereon unto the Town Clerk or in his absence to the Selectmen on or before the time of ⚫ holding said meeting

At an annual Town meeting of the inhabitants of manchester duly notified and holden at the meetinghouse in said Town, on Tuesday the Eleventh day of March A. D 1823 Nathaniel Moor was chosen Moderator. Frederick. G. Stark was chosen Town Clerk and Sworn Amos Weston junr. Nathaniel Moor and John Proctor were chosen Selectmen and sworn into that office The meeting then proceeded to ballot for State and County officers and the votes were as follows- Viz

Voted To raise One Dollar and fifty Cents on the poll to repair highways the present year Viz. One dollar summer Tax and Fifty Cents Winter Tax to be worked out if needed Voted To Dismiss the 11th article in the Warrant
