M. to act on the following articles Viz 1st To Choose a Moderator to regulate sd meeting. 2nd To vote by ballot for six persons duly qualified for Representatives of this state in the Congress of the United States agreeably to an act passed June 21st A. Stark Town Clerk December 20th 1820 We the undersigned Selectmen of Londonderry and Manchester met this day for the purpose of perambulating the line between said Towns and have proceeded as follows Viz — Began at a pitch pine tree standing in the edge of a swamp at the southwest corner of Chester and ran south making a proper allowance for the variation of the Compass 163 rods to a stone in Manters field a few rods southeast of an old grist mill thence west to a stake & stones in Capt. Joseph Moors field about 12 rods easterly of said Moors house thence south to a white birch tree marked and lettered standing at the south angle of Manchester and on the west line of Londonderry and have renewed the several marks or monuments on sd line Robert Mack Selectmen of Manchester We the undersigned Selectmen of Manchester and Litchfield having met by agreement to perambulate the line between said Towns proceeded to the perambulation begining at a white birch tree marked and lettered being the corner of Litchfield, Londonderry and Manchester, thence running North 21° west allowing for the variation of the Compass to a black birch tree on the bank of Merrimack river mark and letterd and in the said perambulations have distinguished the marks on renewing the same by a chop or cut directly into the tree instead of sclising of the bark as was the former practice witness our hands Joseph Moor Selectmen of Manchester Selectmen of Litchfield Recorded Dec. 30, 1820 by F.
