Colonel Joceline's Regiment of Horfe was difpofed of to Major General Davenport, who was fucceeded as Lieutenant Colonel of the firft Troops of Life-Guards, by the Lieutenant Colonel of the faid Regiment of Horfe; as the Earl of Hertford, was in the Command of his late Regiment of Foot, by the Lieutenant Colonel of the fame. On the other Hand, Colonel Bland, who bought the Regiment of Horfe of Lieutenant General Harvey, difpofed of the fame, for the Sum of 8000. I. to Colonel Pitt, fecond Son to Governor Pitt and Brother in Law to General Stanhope.

On the 15th of February, Sir Peter King, King, furren- Kt. Lord Chief Juftice of the Common ders bis Office Pleas, made a Surrender of his Commiffion of Recorder of Recorder of the City of London, to the of the City of the Lord Mayor and Court of Alderman; who as an Acknowledgment of his acceptable Services in that Office, refolved to make him a Prefent of a Piece of Plate to the Value of 100l.
