ficial to the Commercial Section of the National Association. There are a number of new men joining forces each year with the various companies throughout the country who have not had the advantage of attending previous Conventions or of training along the lines of our business, and who have had no other means of obtaining knowledge of the business than through the Proceedings of the Convention. It was with this thought in mind that the Bureau was organized and the gentleman who is the Chairman of this branch was appointed with full knowledge of his ability to accomplish the desired results. There has been considerable work done under this heading by the various sub-committees and a very interesting and comprehensive program will be presented to you at a session during this Convention. In order that the Lighting Sales Bureau may be a permanent branch of the Commercial Section activities, I would ask for it your earnest support and co-operation.

During the past year the Commercial Section has been called upon by the organization of National Electric Piano Manufacturers for assistance in straightening out several minor problems that have somewhat annoyed them in the distribution of their merchandise throughout the country. The Chairman was approached by a representative of this organization asking for the assistance of our Committee in the solution of several minor electrical details with which they were not familiar, and in the marketing of their products. I feel that we would be lax in our duty as an organization if we did not meet with this Association and point out to them ways and means of obtaining better results. I have, therefore, referred this matter to the Merchandising Committee for the purpose of seeing what action can be taken by it in bringing electric piano attachments to the attention of the general public, and to the Power Sales Bureau for the purpose of rendering any assistance possible covering the application of the electric motor to the piano movement.
