A bill for "An Act to amend section 1 of 'An Act concerning conveyances,' approved March 29, 1872, as amended."

Mr. Soderstrom, from the Committee on Public Utilities and Transportation, to which was referred Senate Bill No. 520, being a bill for "An Act to create a commission to investigate the need and feasibility of terminable permit and other similar public utility laws, to define the powers and duties of said commission and making an appropriation therefor."

Reported the same back with amendments thereto, with the recommendation that the amendments be adopted, and that the bill, as amended, do pass.

Mr. Thon, from the Committee on Revenue, to which was referred Senate Bill No. 496, being a bill for "An Act to amend section 28 of 'An Act in relation to State finance,' approved June 10, 1919, as amended."

HOUSE BILL No. 678.

A bill for "An Act to authorize the lease of the Illinois and Michigan Canal and its right of way, or any portion thereof, between the city of Joliet in the county of Will and its connection with the Chicago River and the city of Chicago in the county of Cook, State of Illinois."

HOUSE BILL No. 661.

A bill for "An Act to amend section 1 of 'An Act in regard to the descent of property,' approved April 9, 1872, as amended."

The foregoing bills, numbered 680, 679, 666, 682, 681, 678 and 661, were placed in the order of House bills on third reading.

Mr. Krump, from the Committee on Enrolling, Transcribing and Typing of Bills, reported that House amendments to bills of the following titles have been correctly transcribed and typed and are returned herewith:

A bill for "An Act to make an appropriation to the Department of Agriculture for the purpose of indemnifying owners of tubercular cattle destroyed and of defraying expenses incident thereto."

The House proceeding on the order of House bills on third reading, House Bill No. 680, a bill for "An Act to provide for the necessary revenue for State purposes."
