Sacred to the memory of Elizabeth Harris | native of London | one | conspicuous alike for virtue, | sweetness of disposition, gentleness of manner | & incomparable conjugal affection | in her, the poor man found a friend, and pleasure saw an enemy she was a lover of litterature an accomplished musician | and skilled in every liberal art | she died | of inflammation of the lungs at Pisa | on the 11 of February 1833 | in the 45 year of her age | Demetrius Corgialegnus a noble of Cefalonia | her inconsolable husband and unwilling survivor | erected this monument as a | last and mournful pledge of his affection to a wife | who had deserved everything at his hands | with whom he had lived for three years | in uninterrupted harmony and whose death | he would have averted by his own | had the will of Providence | so permitted.

Here lie the remains of Catharine Megit | born in Florence on the 13 of October 1786 and there expired on the 9. of July 1804 | The painful sickness which in the space of three days, | terminated her short earthly existence, | evinced the firmness of her faith, | and her humble reliance on the mercy | of her God | Her calm and cheerful resignation, | in the awful hour of dissolution, | offered both the most instructive lesson | and heart-felt consolation | to her afflicted family and friends.

Julie daughter of | Charles Hooffstetter | and Anna Amalia Megit | his wife, died at Florence | October 4th, 1815 aged | nine months.

To the memory of | William Orr, merchant | of the British factory, | who died 18. Sept. 1786, | at Leghorn, this | monument is erected by his son.

Sacred to the memory of Martha Morison | wife of William Wylie late of London & of Forfar N. Britain Esq. | beloved and esteemed | for her virtues for her excellent qualities of heart, and endowed with every mental and personal accomplishment: she died at Florence on the 9th day of March 1822 | in the 26 year of | her age.

George Oswald Sym, | son to the Rev. George Sym | Minister of New Kilpatrick Dumbartonshire, died at Leghorn January 14th, 1821 | aged 27 years. | This stone is raised by a few of his friends in remembrance of his many virtues and his eminent talents.

To the memory | of| William Owen Esq | Fellow of St: Johns College, Cambridge; 7th son of the Revd Roger Owen of Kilbride, County of Wexford, Ireland, and Ann Cliffe his wife; | who died at Leghorn 31st May 1823 | in his 31 year.
