Mabel, Marriage Licence 10 December 1661 (Vicar-General), she aged about 19, to marry Thomas Acton of Morvall, Shropshire, aged about 35. He died 1677; his will proved 17 February 1677-8. (P.C.C., 10, Reeve.) See Acton of Gatacre Park, co. Salop' (Burke's "Landed Gentry ").

Edward Stonard, died before 18 September 1665, the date of his father's will.

Amy, of Knoll Hill, Stapleford Abbots, married at St. James's, Clerkenwell, 27 November 1660; died 24 August 1712, aged 86. Will proved 17 September 1712. (P.C.C., 177, Barnes.)

Arms: Azure, barry indented or a chief argent. Crest: A horse's head erased argent.

John Waldron, born at Warenstown, co. Louth, Ireland; baptized 16 August 1663; died at Christ's College, Cambridge, 15 May 1681; buried at Stapleford Abbots on north side of chancel 17 [?] May 1681.

George Waldron, born in Ely Court, Holborn, 5 September and baptized at St. Andrew, Holborn, 8 September 1688.

ABSTRACTS OF WILLS.

1677, Aug. 1. THOMAS ACTON of the Parke in the parish of Claverley, co. Salop, Esquire. My manor or farme, called Hudwick Farme, in the parish of Prior's Ditton, co. Salop, I give to my daughter Sarah Acton, but in case my eldest son shall pay her £600 at her age of 18 years or day of marriage, the said gift or devise shall be utterly void. I give my third part of the manor of Tasley, co. Salop, to my well-beloved wife Mabell Acton, she to pay my daughter Rachell Acton and my son Clement Acton £600 between them when 18. My said eldest son Thomas Acton under 21. The residue to my said wife, sole executrix.

1712, Aug. 20. AMY WALDRON of Knoll Hill in the parish of Stapleford Abbott, co. Essex, widow, "sick and weak of body." To be buried under the marble stone which my son John was formerly buried on the north side of the chancel of the aforesaid parish. My executors to pay the debt of twenty pounds sterling due upon bond from my son Francis Stonard Waldron to Mr Nathanael Belsham, schoolmaster, of Hitchin in Hertfordshire. I give to Mr Robert Walker of Lamborn 20s. To my cozen William Ram of Bromfeild, gent., 20. The said William Ram and Robert Walker executors. To Mr George Tilden of St Paul's, Covent Garden, woollendraper, 20s, who I do appoint trustee to my grandson John Waldron. To my grandson George Waldron my best bed, etc. To my servant Ann Hand all my wearing apparel.

1726, Jan. 6. FRANCIS STONARD of the parish of St. Botolph without Bishopgate, citizen and distiller of London, "weak in body." To be buried in Bishopgate church. I give to my brother Richard Stonard £20 per annum for life. To his son John Stonard £100 when 21, my executors to provide him with necessary apparel during his apprenticeship. To all the other children of my said brother Richard £10 apiece. To my cousin Mary Newton £50, and to her children £10 apiece. To my cousin Judith Griggs £50, and to her children £10 apiece. I forgive and release to my cousin Elizabeth Vickary £200, part of the moneys owing to me from her husband on a mortgage. To my maidservant Penelope Locksley £12 a year for life. The several annuities to be paid out of the rents and profits of my leasehold messuages, etc., in St Martin's le Grand and the parish of St Anne and Agnes within Aldersgate, London. To my grandchildren Francis and John Newcomb and Francis Vincent £100 apiece when 21. To my son-in-law William Newcomb my leasehold messuage which I now dwell in situate in Bishopgate street with my stillhouse and all my interest therein, and whereas he is a partner with me in trade I give him all my stock in trade, household goods, plate, etc. I give to my daughter Vincent £20 to buy her plate, etc., and to my son-in-law George Vincent £3000. The residue to my said sons-in-law William Newcomb and George Vincent, equally, joint executors.

Imprimis I bequeath to my wife Mris Margaret Day all my p'sonall goods, etc., my eldest son Mr George Day to let her have a chamber to herself. To my daughter Elizabeth £200, etc. To my daughter Leticia £200, etc. My sonne Roger Day. My younger children. To my sonne William £145. To my sonne Roger £145. Fifty poundes apeece to my sons John and Thomas, and five poundes apeece to the children of sonne Richard deceased. Legacy to my son John, in case he die to be paid to his wife. Legacy to my son Thomas, in case he die to be paid to his wife. To Anne and Richard Day the children of my son Richard Day, deceased, £15 apiece at age of 21.

1663, July 2. ELIZABETH DAYE of Kenton in the parish of Simbury [sic], co. Middlesex, spinster. I give unto my brother George Daye 5s and a mourning ring. To my brother William Daye £20, to be disposed of as his two sisters Margarett Pakman and Leticia Boddington shall thinke fitt and requisite. To my brother Thomas Day £10, or, in case of his death, to Elizabeth Daye his daughter at 18. To my neece Anne Daye, daughter of my brother Richard Daye, £10. To my cousin George Daye, sonne of my brother John Daye, £5. To my brother Roger Daye £160, but in case of his death, leaving neither wife nor child, I give the same to my cousin George Daye, goldsmyth, and my two sisters Margarett Pakman and Leticia Boddington. [NOTE. In the Will Register the testatrix's place of residence is given as "Simbury," in the Probate Act Book "Limbury." Personally, I believe it should be "Sunbury," for Sunbury is mentioned in the will; and in Sharp's "Gazetteer,” 1852, under "Sunbury," we find "Kenton Pk., F. Manners, Esq., was a royal seat called Chenestone."]*

Lætitia Boddington was buried at Burbage 18 February 1693, and Thomas Boddington 28 November 1696. (See Vol. IV., New Series, pp. 230 and 404.)
