Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the general assembly
of the state of Ohio, That there shall be allowed
to the clerk of the senate and to the clerk of the
house of representatives, in addition to the sums One dollar

CHAPTER VIII.

An act, making a temporary appropriation of

money, for certain purposes.

Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the general assembly

of the state of Ohio, That four thousand dollars and officers of the revenue of this state, be and the same is erg. assem- hereby appropriated, for the payment of the

members and officers of the general assembly, . in part of their wages for the present session.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That a sum 500 dollars to not exceeding five hundred dollars, be and is the several hereby appropriated, for the purpose of paying

the clerks of the several counties in this state, for making out the duplicates for the year one thousand eight hundred and three, and two hundred dollars for the printer; for the payment of

CHAPTER IX.

An act, to provide for filling vacancies in the

office of justices of the peace

Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Trustees of the state of Ohio, That whenever there shall be to warn a

Provider, That after the freeholders who may be summoned to try any such contested election shall have made a report, in writing, to the clerk of the proper county, according to the directions of said act, it shall be the duty of the said clerk to send, within ten days thereafter, a certificate of the determination of such freeholders to the trustees of the proper township, that in case there should be a vacancy in the office of justice of the peace, by reason of such determination, the said trustees shall call a township meeting, by giving like notice as is required in the act, entitled, “An act to provide for the incorporation of townships," for the purposes of electing a suitable person to fill such vacancy; and all

CHAPTER X.

An act, to provide for the election of a represent

ative in congress.

Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the general assembly A represen. of the state of Ohio, That on the second Tuesday elected on of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand Tuesday of eight hundred and four, the electors within the several election districts in this state, shall give in their votes for a suitable person to represent the state of Ohio in the congress of the United States, for the term of two years, to commence on the fourth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and five.

Sec. 2. .Ind be it further enacted, That at and every every period of two years from the said second thereafter. Tuesday of October, the electors of each election district in this state, shall in like manner give in their votes for a suitable person to represent this state in the congress of the United States, for the term of two years, to commence on the fourth day of March next thereafter.
