Dehee and George Brennan; thence running in an easterly direction in a straight course to the division line between Antigonish and Guysboro Counties; thence running in a southwesterly direction along said division line till it strikes the southern boundary of lands of Lauchlin McGillivray; thence westerly along said southern boundary to the southwest corner of said Lauchlin McGillivray's lands; thence running along the western boundary of said Lauchlin, McGillivray's lands to the northwest corner thereof; thence running westerly along the southern boundary of lands now or formerly owned by John McDougall to the southwestern corner thereof; thence in a northerly direction between lands of said John McDougall and lands of William J. Polson to the northeastern corner of William J. Polson's lands; thence running westerly along the southern line of lands of Dan McDougall to the place of beginning.

3. The boundaries of the Polling Division (Upper South River) shall be as at present constituted, excepting thereout the new division described in the preceding section.

Polling places. 4. The polling place for Division 17A (Springfield), shall be at or near the school house in Springfield in said division and that of Division 17 (Upper South River) shall be as at present located.

Separate voters' lists.

Inconsistent law repealed.

5. Separate voters' lists shall hereafter be provided for the two divisions.

6. So much of the existing law as is inconsistent with this Act is hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 92.

An Act to Enable the Municipality of Argyle to Bor-
row Money to Repair the Court House and
Jail at Tusket.

(Passed the 29th day of April, A. D., 1922).

Be it enacted by the Governor, Council, and Assembly, as follows:

1. Chapter 131 Acts of 1921 is hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 93.

An Act to Enable the Municipality of Argyle to Borrow Money to Pay its Proportion of Expenses for Repairs to Yarmouth Court House.

(Passed the 29th day of April, A. D., 1922).

Be it enacted by the Governor, Council, and Assembly, as follows:

The Municipality of Argyle is hereby authoriz- Authority to ed and empowered to borrow, upon the credit of the issue debensaid Municipality, the sum of three thousand five hundred dollars for the purpose of paying accounts incurred for the repairs to the Court House in the Town of Yarmouth, the same being the proportion of the expenses of said repairs chargeable to the Municipality of Argyle, and, in order to secure the repayment of the money so borrowed, to make and issue debentures bearing interest payable annually at a rate not to exceed six per centum per annum. Such debentures shall be for two hundred and fifty dollars each, payable respectively in one, two, three, four, five six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen and fourteen years from the date thereof, and shall be sealed with the municipal seal, and signed by the warden and clerk of the municipality, and the interest coupon thereto shall also be signed by the Clerk of the Municipality.

2. Such debentures shall be subject to the provisions of the Municipal Debentures Act, 1914, and amendments thereto and shall form a lien upon and be a charge against all the property liable to taxation within the said Municipality of Argyle.

3. The money so borrowed shall be deposited with the Treasurer of the municipality and shall be by him paid out for the purposes mentioned in the first section of this Act, and for no other purpose.

4. The Municipal Council shall annually place in the estimates and add to the other amounts to be assessed and levied upon the municipality a sum sufficient to pay the said annual interest coupons and any of the said debentures maturing during year with expenses of collection, and such sum shall be assessed, levied and collected at the same time and in like manner as the other sums provided for in said estimates now are or hereafter may be assessed, levied and collected.

CHAPTER 94.

An Act to Authorize the Municipality of the County of
Cape Breton to Borrow Money for the Purpose
of Paying off an Indebtedness due to The
Royal Bank of Canada for the Year

1921.

(Passed the 13th day of April, A. D., 1922).

Be it enacted by the Governor, Council, and Assembly, as follows:

1. The Municipality of the County of Cape Breton is authorized to borrow or raise by way of loan on the credit of the said Municipality the sum of $12,000 for the purpose of paying off an indebtedness due the Royal Bank of Canada for the year 1921.

2. Where any money is borrowed or raised by the Sinking fund. issue and sale of debentures of the said Municipality under this Act and the Municipal Debentures Act, 1914, as amended, the Council of the said Municipality shall provide for a sinking fund with respect to such debentures; provided, that the amount to be paid annually into the sinking fund shall not be less than seven per centum of the aggregate amount of said debentures and shall not be more than the Council deems sufficient to provide for the payment of the debentures when the same are payable and the first payment into such sinking fund shall be made within one year from date of the debentures.

3. Every sum required for,

(a) interest on such debentures;

(b) the sinking fund so provided,

shall be held to be sums required for the ordinary lawful purposes of the said Municipality and shall be raised, levied and collected in the same manner and in all respects as other sums required for the ordinary lawful purposes of the said Municipality are raised, levied and collected.

4. Such debentures shall be payable in ten years Debentures. from the date thereof and shall bear interest at the rate of 5 per centum per annum.

CHAPTER 95.

An Act to Enable the Municipality of the County of
Cape Breton to Borrow Money for the Purpose of
Retiring Debentures Issued under the Au-
thority of Chapter 6, Acts of 1902, and
for which the Sinking Fund was
Insufficient.

(Passed the 29th day of April, A. D., 1922).

Be it enacted by the Governor, Council, and Assembly, as follows:

1. The Municipality of the County of Cape Breton is authorized to borrow or raise by way of loan on the credit of the said Municipality the sum of $6,000.00 for the purpose of retiring debentures issued under the authority of Chapter 6, Acts of 1902, and for which the sinking fund was insufficient.

2. Where any money is borrowed or raised by the issue and sale of debentures of the said Municipality under this Act and the Municipal Debentures Act, 1914, as amended, the Council of the said Municipality shall provide for a sinking fund with respect to such debentures; provided that the amount to be paid annually into the sinking fund shall not be less than 5 per centum of the aggregate amount of said debentures and shall not be more than the Council deems sufficient to provide for the payment of the debentures when the same are payable and the first payment into such sinking fund shall be made within one year from the date of the debentures.

3. Every sum required for,

(a) interest on such debentures;
