THE

HE EDITORS have the pleasure, in issuing the first volume of a New Series, to again acknowledge the kind assistance of the gentlemen contributing the accounts of the Inscriptions at the British Cemeteries of the Ionian Islands and those of Cawnpore Cantonment Cemetery, both of great interest to many families in England; also those of St. Mary's Churchyard, Woolwich. To the subscribers of the various family pedigrees they also are much indebted for interesting details, which afford great pleasure to our numerous readers. It was their pleasure also to introduce the interesting Registers of St. Anne's Church, Soho, where seven Royal Princes and Princesses were baptized, as well as numberless members of the aristocracy resident there in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. They are much indebted to the contributors of Bookplates also, and would ask for their continued assistance, it being a feature started forty years ago for the first time in any periodical.

The EDITORS again ask to be favoured with contributions from subscribers of family history, accompanied by arms and autographs; also of any interesting registers, many requiring printing to rescue them from destruction either from age or carelessness.

March, 1906.
