Gray testified that he had shown interview reports and other data from FBI Watergate files to John Dean who had told him that the President specifically charged him with looking into any involvement on the part of White House staff members. Gray offered to open those files to any Senator on either the Senate Select Committee or Senate Judiciary Committee who wanted to see them.
