BOND OF CLAIMANT OF CROWN LANDS.

Know all men by these present that we, A. B., of... C. D., of... and E. F. of are held and firmly bound to His Majesty the King, his heirs and successors, in the sum of three hundred dollars, for which sum to be paid we bind ourselves and each of us, himself, our and each of our heirs, executors and administrators firmly by these presents, sealed with our seals and dated the.. day of...

Whereas the above bounden A. B. has been proceeded against under the provisions of Lands and Forests Act, to compel him to give up the possession of a certain lot of land claimed to be the property of our Sovereign Lord the King, and the above bounden A. B. is desirous of being discharged from custody on giving a bond with sureties as in such Act provided, and the said C. D. and E. F. have agreed to become such sureties;

Now the condition of the foregoing obligation is such that if the said A. B. shall well and truly pay such costs of the proceedings instituted on behalf of His Majesty for the recovery of such lands as he is adjudged to pay under the provisions of the said Act, then these presents shall be void; otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.

Our Sovereign Lord the King took proceedings under "The Lands and Forests Act," against A. B. for withholding possession of a certain lot of land situated, lying and being at.... in the County of.... and described as follows: that is to say...

And the said A. B. appeared and defended the possession. Therefore it is considered that our Sovereign Lord the King do recover possession of the premises above mentioned, with the appurtenances, and also $... . for his costs of suit.

Whereas certain proceedings were taken against A. B. for withholding the possession of a certain lot of land situated at. ..described as

follows: (description), and the said A. B. was adjudged to be wrongfully holding the same against the true intent and meaning of "The Lands and Forests Act," and it was considered that our Sovereign Lord the

King should recover the possession of the said lot of land from the said A. B., and that the said A. B. should pay to our Sovereign Lord the King the sum of ....for costs;

Therefore we command you, without delay, to cause our Sovereign Lord the King to have possession of the said land with the appurtenances; and we command you that you cause to be levied of the goods and chattels of the said A. B. in your bailiwick the sum of.....

Whereas a quantity of (describe the articles) have been seized as Crown property, illegally obtained:

These are to give notice that two Justices of the Peace will attend on the...

Notice is hereby given that the Governor-in-Council has under the provisions of the Lands and Forests Act, by Order-in-Council, dated the.... day of A. D., 19......(wholly or as the case may be) vacated the grant issued on the.. ..day of ..to,.... ..and numbered. . being a grant of certain lands in the County of........for a full description of which reference may be had to the said grant as the same is to be found recorded in the office of the Minister of Lands and Forests.
