Sub-section (1) of Section 1 of Chapter 59, Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1923, is amended by inserting, between the word "jails" and the word "reformatories" in the fifth line thereof, the word "lock-ups". Sec. 2, 88. (1), 2. Sub-section (1) of Section 2 of said Chapter 59 is amended by inserting between the word "jails" and the word "and" in the fifth line thereof, the word "lock-ups". Clause (b) of Section 2 of Chapter 75 of the Revised Statutes, 1923, "The Public Highways Act", is repealed and the following substituted therefor: (b) "Chief Engineer" means the Chief Engineer of the Department of Highways appointed under the provisions of this Chapter. 2.
