A BILL To declare and amend the Law for auditing and inrolling the 5 HEREAS an Act was passed in the second year of the Preamble: reign of his late Majesty, intituled, An Act for uniting 2 & 3 Will. 4, the Office of Surveyor-General of His Majesty's Works and Public Buildings with the Office of the Commissioners of His Majesty's Woods and Forests and Land Revenues, and for other Purposes relating to the Land Revenues:" And whereas doubts have arisen as to the powers vested in the Commissioners for examining and auditing the Public Accounts of the Kingdom, in examining and auditing the Accounts referred to them 10 under the said Act; 15 c. 1, 1. Powers of the Commis sioners for Public auditing the BE it Declared and Enacted, by The QUEEN's most Excellent MAJESTY, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commous, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the Authority of the same, THAT the said Commissioners for auditing the Public Accounts of the Kingdom, in examining, trying and auditing the Accounts referred to them by the said Act, shall be deemed to have had, from the time of the passing of the said Act, and shall have all the powers which are vested in them under an Act of the twenty-fifth year of the reign of King GEORGE the Third, 25 Geo. 3, 20 intituled, "An Act for better examining and auditing the Public Accounts of this Kingdom," and under any other Act now in force, or any law, usage, custom or otherwise howsoever.
