James Kneeland, for candles, shovels and tongs, locks and other fixtures for the use of the Legislative Assembly, seventy-eight dollars and sixty cents.

To J. D. Weston, for glass, nails and other articles furnished, and for labor done for the use of the Legislative Assembly, fortyfive dollars and eighty-one cents.

To J. G. Knapp, for bringing up the records of the journals of the Council and House of Representatives, of the session ending on the 17th day of April, 1843, in compliance with the act of the Legislative Assembly, of April 17, 1843, one hundred and fifty dollars, to be paid out of the appropriation made by Congress, to defray the expenses of the said session of the legislature, terminating April 17th, 1843.

To J. D. Spalding, for papers furnished members of the Legis lative Assembly during the session of 1843 and '44, ten dollars.

To Chauncey Abbott, for bringing up the journals of the House of Representatives for the session of the Legislative Assembly of 1843 and 1844, thirty dollars.

To J. D. Spalding, for publishing in the Grant County Herald an act of the Legislative Assembly to ascertain the indebtedness and taxable property of the Territory, approved January 31, 1844, five dollars.

To Noah P. Daniel, for cleaning furniture in the halls of the Couucil and House of Representatives, at its present session, for the use of the Legislative Assembly, seven dollars.

To Ebenezer Clewett, for three days service as fireman at the commencement of the present session of the Legislative Assem bly, nine dollars.

To John Catlin, for postage of the members of the Council and House of Representatives, from January 6th, to January 15th, at the present session, ninety-one dollars and sixty-five cents.

To C. Latham Sholes, for publishing in the Southport Telegraph, an act of the Legislative Assembly, entitled "An act to as certain the indebtedness and taxable property of the Territory, ap. proved January 31, 1844," five dollars.

To Philo White, for three hundred and twelve copies of the Racine Advocate, furnished members of the Legislative Assembly, at its present session, fifteen dollars and sixty cents.

To Simeon Mills, for brick and mortar furnished to repair the fire place in library, for the use of the Legislative Assembly, two dollars.

To J. D. Spalding, & Co., for papers furnished members of the Legislative Assembly, at its present session, as per bill rendered, twenty-two dollars and forty cents.

To S. M. Vanburgen, for grading about the capitol and filling up around the west piazza, for the use of the Legislative Assembly, twenty-five dollars.

To John Gilchrist, for repairs to desks in Representatives Hall, two dollars and twenty-five cents.

To Augustus A. Bird, for repairs on the capitol, and materials furnished for the same, for the use of the present Legislative Assembly, two hundred and forty-one dollars and twenty-one cents.

To Simeon Mills, for newspapers furnished at the present session of the Legislative Assembly, for the use of the members of the same, five hundred and thirty-nine dollars and twenty cents.

To William W. Wyman, for newspapers furnished at the present session of the Legislative Assembly, for the use of the members of the same, two hundred and seventeen dollars and sixty cents.

To William W. Wyman, for printing bill number forty-seven, (H. of R.) entitled a bill concerning justices of the peace, inclu ding press work and paper for the same, one hundred and ten dollars and thirty-five cents.

To Rev. Salmon Stebbins, for services as chaplain to the House of Representatives, for the present session of the Legislative Assembly, one hundred dollars,

To Philip V. Bovee, for writing for committees and engrossing bills, for the use of the Legislative Assembly, at its present session, twenty-five dollars.

George P. Delaplaine, for enrolling and engrossing bills for the House of Representatives, per order of chief clerk, as per resolu tion of House of Representatives, twenty-seven dollars.

To George I. Wallace, for enrolling and engrossing bills for the House of Representatives, at its present session, ten dollars.

To Robert More, nine dollars, for services making fires, cleaning Halls, Governor's room and library.

To Simeon Mills, eight dollars, for the use of Moritz Schoffler, for materials furnished, folding and stitching 375 copies of the Governor's Message, printed in the German language.

To John P. Sheldon and George Hyer, for balance due them for printing in the year A. D. 1843, by authority of the Legisla tive Assembly, three hundred and fifty dollars.

To W. W. Wyman, for printing done for the Legislative Assembly, for the year A. D. 1843, one hundred and sixty-seven dollars and thirty-one cents.

The above appropriations to Sheldon & Hyer and to W. W. Wyman, shall not be paid to either of them, without a receipt in full

for all claims against the Territory, for arrearages due for printing, on any account whatever, being executed to the Secretary of the Territory.

To Julius T. Clark, for writing done for the Legislative Assembly, during the present session, three dollars.

To William W. Wymam, five dollars, for publishing in the Mad. ison Express, An act of the Legislative Assembly, to ascertain the indebtedness of the Territory, approved January 31st, 1844.

The Secretary of the Territory is hereby authorized to apply in payment of any balance of the appropriation made in this act, which shall remain unpaid after the expenditures of the appropriations for the expenses of the legislative assembly, made at the last session of Congress,so much of the appropriation which has been or shall be made at the present session of congress to defray the expenses of the Legislative Assembly, as will be requisite to pay such balance

To Henry O. Sholes, for publishing in the Green Bay Republican, an act of the Legislative Assembly, entitled "An act to ascertain the indebtedness and taxable property of the Territory," approved January 31, 1844, five dollars.

JOINT RESOLUTIONS.

JOINT RESOLUTION relative to the printed copof the decisions of the Supreme Court.

Resolved by the Council and House of Representatives of the Territory of Wisconsin:

That two copies of the reports of the decisions of the Supreme court for the years 1842 and 1843, that have been published and deposited in the Library, be forwaded to each clerk of the district courts for the use of such courts respectively.

JOINT RESOLUTION relative to Mail Routes.

Resolved by the Council and House of Representatives of the Territory of Wisconsin:

That our Delegate in Congress be requested to procure the establishment of a mail route from Janesville to Racine on the United States road between those places; also one from Racine to Prairie Village in Millwaukee county; and also one from Wheatland to Racine both in the county of Racine; also one from Mineral Point in Iowa county by way of Shullsburg and New Diggings to White Oak Springs in Iowa county, also one from Madison in Dane county via Sun Prairie, Columbus, and Beaver
