HE following is a brief record of the good work done in this Hospital, for the relief of the suffering, during the past eleven months: Application for admission to be made on week days, from 12 to 1 p.m. The services of the physicians are gratuitous. The charges to paying patients to be determined by the Visiting Committee. Such patients may have to give an obligation, with surety, for the payment of such charges. A limited number of those unable to pay may be placed upon free beds. Persons accidentally wounded or disabled may be admitted at any hour, if brought directly after it occurs. Contagious diseases, incurables, syphilis, and delirium tremens not admitted. Relatives and friends may visit on any afternoon of the week. but they must not bring any food or drink to the patients. Tobacco, wines, and intoxicants prohibited, except when prescribed by the physicians. Patients may be visited by the clergyman they have preference for. COURTS. Law Ferms for the Commonwealth at Boston on the first Wednesday in January of each year, may be adjourned to places and times for the interest of the public. Questions of Law arising in the counties of Barnstable, Middlesex, Norfolk, and Suffolk, and in other counties where special provisions are not made, shall be entered and determined. Superior.
