For drawing all procefs and returns, admiffions of guardians or next friends, and all recognizances of bail, one fhilling and fix-pence for each theet containing feventy-two words.

All engroffments, including parchment, one fhilling for each fheet; and all copies upon paper, fix-pence for each fheet.

Every term, a term fee of five fhillings; but no more than three to be allowed in any cause.

Drawing all pleadings, adjournments, fuggeftions and other neceffary entries, records, bonds to profecute, and affidavits, one fhilling and fixpence for each fheet containing feventy-two words; but no record, writ, return, pleading, bond, covenant or other writing, to be inferted verbatim, or in hæc verba, fhall be computed as any part of fuch draft.

Every neceffary motion, five fhillings; but no motion to be allowed upon judgment by confeffion, by virtue of a warrant of attorney, when no fuit is brought either for entering the action or a rule to plead.

Every attendance before the court of errors, in order to make a motion, or to oppofe a motion, five fhillings.

Arguing every special motion, ten fhillings.

A fee on trial or inqueft, twelve shillings.

Arguing demurrer, fpecial verdict, or in error, thirty fhillings.
Drawing a brief and a copy or copies thereof, nine fhillings.

Drawing up a judgment, fix fhillings.

Entering the judgment on the roll, three fhillings.

Every notice, copy and fervice on the oppofite party, or his attorney, two fhillings.

Copy and fervice of notice of trial on the judge or judges, two fhillings. Making a note of the iffue for the judges, to be ferved on the clerk, with a copy of the notice of trial, and for copy and fervice, three fhillings. Attendance on balloting or ftriking a jury, or both, five fhillings. Attendance on examining a witneis out of court, two fhillings. Attendance on taxing a bill of coft, two fhillings.

Serving a certified copy of a rule, or a copy of a declaration, with a certified copy of a rule to plead, one fhilling and fix-pence.

Copy of a bill of cofis to be taxed, delivered to the oppofite party, or his attorney, if before iffue joined, or judgment, three fhillings; if after, fix fhillings; and no more than one writ of execution fhall be taxed in any cafe.

The Fees of the Clerk of the Supreme Court in Civil Causes. For fealing a writ, entering the fame, filing the precipe, and entering on the docket, one fhilling.

Filing a declaration or other pleading, one fhilling.

Entering an appearance or default, one fhilling.
Entering every rule, one fhilling and fix-pence.

A certified copy of a rule, when required, one fhilling.

Searching the records in any one year, one fhilling; and for every other
year in which fuch fearch is made, fix-pence.

Entering confeffion of leafe, entry and oufter, one fhilling and fix-pence.
Reading and entering a poflea, two fhillings.

Swearing each witness to a will, one fhilling.

Drawing the proof of wills and codicils, one fhilling and fix-pence for each fheet containing feventy-two words.

Recording a will or codicil, and the proof as by law directed, one fhilling and fix-pence for each fheet containing one hundred and twenty-eight words; and for copies thereof, when required, one fhilling for every fheet containing one hundred and twenty-eight words.

Examining and figning a note of a fine, one fhilling.

Examining and figning the indentures of a fine, three hillings.

Making, entering and endorfing each proclamation of a fine, three hi!lings.

Attending and examining the enrollment of the feveral parts of a fine, five fhillings.

Examining and figning, and affixing the feal to the exemplification of a fine or recovery, five fhillings.

Fees of the Clerk of the Supreme Court in criminal Caufes, not Capital, where the Service is done at the Request of the Defendant; but no Fees to be allowed in any other Cafes.

Reading and entering the allowance of a pardon, or a warrant of nolo profequi, or ceffat proceflus, three fhillings.

Fees of the Clerk of the Circuit Courts.

For entering in the judge's book, every caufe noticed for trial, two fhillings,

like fees as the clerk of the fupreme court, and under the fame reftrictions.
The Sheriff's Fees in the Supreme Court.
For ferving a writ, four fhillings and fix-pence.

Every mile going only, fix-pence, to be computed from the sheriff's place
of abode, except where it is otherwife fixed by law.

A bail bond, three fhillings.

Returning a writ, if ferved, one fhilling.

Every demand of a defendant upon an exigent, and every proclamation
upon a writ of proclamation, or in a real action, one fhilling.
Summoning a jury, eight fhillings.

Serving an execution for or under one hundred pounds, fix-pence per
pound; and for every pound more than one hundred pounds, three-
pence; the poundage on writs of fieri facias, and all other writs for
levying monies, to be taken only for the fum levied.

For ferving a writ of poffeffion or reflitution, without the aid of the poffe

comitatus, ten fhillings; and with the aid of the poffe comitatus, thirty fhillings; and mileage for every mile, from the place fixed by law fixpence.

Making and returning a book of freeholders for ftriking a jury, thirtyfhillings.

Every perfon committed to prifon, three fhillings.

Ditcharging every perfon from prifon, three fhillings.

Bringing upa prifoner, by habeas corpus, in civil caufes, twelve fhillings; and mileage for every mile from the gaol, one fhilling.

Executing a writ of enquiry, fummoning the jury for that purpose, and feturning the inquifition, twelve shillings.

Attending a view, fifteen fhillings per day; and going and returning, ten fhillings per day.

Attending with a prifoner before a judge, on his being furrendered by his bail, and for receiving the prifoner into cuftody, eight fhillings. Summoning the jury to enquire of a forcible entry or detainer, twenty fhillings.

Copy of every writ, when demanded, one fhilling and fix-pence.

Serving an attachment against the eftate of an abfconding or abfent debtor, fo much as the judge who iffued the warrant fhall certify to be reafonable.

Provided, That no fheriff shall be allowed any fee for the fervice or execution of any writ or procefs, unless the fame fhall be returned, fo as that the return thereof may be entered in the term in which the fame fhall be returnable (fees for executing a writ of poffeffion only excepted.)

The Cryer's Fees in the Supreme Court and Circuit Courts.

For calling every action, nine-pence.

Ringing the bell, each action in court, one fhilling.

Calling a jury, one fhilling.

Swearing a witness, fix-pence.

Making proclamation for the difcharge of any perfon, nine-pence,

Calling the plaintiff, on a nonfuit, nine-pence.

Calling the defendant, on a default, nine-pence.

Calling the defendant on a recognizance, nine-pence.

Every proclamation upon a fine, nine-pence.

The Juror's Fees in the Supreme Court and Circuit Courts. For every juror for each action on which he is fworn, one fhilling. Every juror coming to and attending a view and returning, fix fhillings per day.

Every juror from a foreign county coming to and attending at court, and returning, fix fhillings per day.

The Fees of the Judges of the Courts of Common Pleas and Major's Courts, Fees to the firft Judge.

For a licence to an attorney, eight fhillings.

Fees to the Recorder in the several Mayor's Counts.

For the first motion in every caufe, fix fhillings.

Fees to be divided among the Judges who are prefent when the Service is done. For the firft motion in every caufe in the court of common pleas, three

Shillings.

For admitting a perfon to practice as an attorney, fifteen fhillings.

Admiting a guardian on the act for the partition of lands, two fhillings.

Fees to be paid to the Judge, Mayor or Recorder who does the Service. For adınitting an infant by guardian or next friend, one fhilling and fix-pence. Taking bail, two fhillings.

Taking acknowledgment of fatisfaction out of court, one fhilling. Attending on fhewing caufe of action, or other special matter out of court, two fhillings.

Taking an affidavit, one fhilling.

Allowing a warrant of attorney, one fhilling.

Taking the acknowledgment or proof of a deed or mortgage, leafe and
release to be confidered as one deed, three fhillings.

A certificate or order concerning an infolvent debtor, three fhillings.
A warrant, order, report, certificate or appointment of truflees, in purfa-
ance of the act concerning abfconding and abfent debtors, three fhillings.
Signing a judgment, one shilling.

Taxing a bill of coft, two fhillings; but no judgment shall be signed, or
taxation of cofts made by any affiftant judge of any court.

Fees of the Juftices of the Peace, where they are entitled to Fees, and fuch Fees are not otherwife afcertained by Law.

For a precept to fummon a jury to enquire of a forcible entry or detainer, three fillings.

Adminiftring an oath, one fhilling.

Swearing a jury to enquire of a forcible entry or detainer, two fhillings.
A precept to fummon a jury to try a traverte of the force, three fhillings.
Swearing the jury to try the tarverfe, two faillings.

Drawing the conviction on a forcible entry or detainer, eight fhillings.
A warrant of reftitution, three fhillings.

A mittimus for a fine or forfeiture, one fhilling and fix-pence.

A warrant against any perfon for a breach of the peace, or a misdemeanor, one fhilling and fix-pence.

A bond or recognizance, two fhillings.

A fummons upon a penal law, one fhilling.

Drawing a conviction, three fhillings.

A warrant to levy a penalty, one fhilling, and fix-pence.

The Attorney's Fees in the Court of Common Pleas, and Mayor's Courts. For a retaining fee, twenty fhillings; but where several fuits are brought upon one obligation, note or bill of exchange, no more than one retaining fee fhall be allowed, nor fhall any retaining fee be allowed in any fuit, upon a bail bond, or to the defendant's attomey, upon confefling judg ment on a bond, by virtue of a warrant of attorney.

A warrant of attorney, one shilling.

Drawing and copy of a plaint, one fhilling and fix-pence.
