In favor of the Honorable Peter Muhlenberg, Esquire, for twenty-three pounds five shillings, in full for his attendance in Council· until the last day of January, inclusively.

In favor of Frederick Sneider, for sixteen pounds four shillings and nine pence, in full for his wages as Door Keeper for the month of January, 1787, and cash paid for carrying in wood for the use of Council, &ca.

The consideration of the late election for the county of Bedford, was this day resumed agreeable to order, and two additional witnesses heard, Jacob Wink and William Alexander.

A letter from Governor Caswell, enclosing an act of the Legisla ture of North Carolina, for appointing delegates to the Convention proposed to be held in this city, in May next, was read.

A letter from Governor Randolph of Virginia, enclosing the memorial of C Esquire, was read.

The petition of Jacob Drier, a prisoner under sentence of death, was read and postponed for further consideration.

A letter from Matthew Clarkson, Esquire, (stating that the drawing of the State lottery has been postponed under the absence of one of the managers, and the illness of the other, and praying the instructions of the Board under these circumstances,) was read, and order taken that Mr. Peter Baynton, be appointed a manager of the said lottery during the indisposition of Mr. Fuller.

The following orders were drawn upon the Treasurer, vizt:

In favor of the Honorable William Irvine, Esquire, for one hundred and thirty two pounds fifteen shillings, in full for fifty-nine days attendance in Congress, from the 4th of December, 1786, until the 1st of February, 1787, inclusively.

In favor of the Honorable Robert Trail, Esquire, for thirty-seven pounds ten shillings, in full for his attendance in Council until this day, inclusively, and his mileage.

The Council met.

Alexander Todd, Esquire, was appointed and commissionated a Justice of the Peace for Dock Ward, in the city of Philadelphia, upon a return made according to law. Mr. Todd was also appointed and commissionated a Justice of the Court of Common Pleas for the county of Philadelphia.

The following orders were drawn upon the Treasurer, vizt:

In favor of Clement Biddle, Esquire, for seventy-five pounds two shillings and five pence, in full of his account for rations furnished to the corps of Invalids, until the last day of January, 1787, inclusively, according to the Comptroller General's report.

In favor of Edward Burd, Esquire, for seven pounds, for the travelling expences of the Honorable Judge Attlee, in coming to and returning from the Court of Oyer and Terminer, commencing at Philadelphia the 26th of December, 1786.

In favor of the said Edward Burd, for twenty-two pounds and nine pence, for the travelling expences of the Judges of the Supreme Court on their eastern circuit last fall.

The Comptroller General's report upon the account of James Marshall, Esquire, Lieutenant of Washington county, from November, 1784, until November, 1786, was read and approved.

The farther consideration of the late election for the county of Bedford, was postponed until Monday next.

A warrant under the Seal of the State was issued for removingPhilip Huffnagle from his present confinement in the jail of Montgomery county, to that of this city and county.

On petition of Benjamin Davis,

Ordered, That the sale of a city lot, lately advertised as the property of the Commonwealth, be suspended until the claims of the petitioner to the said lot be investigated.

The following orders were drawn upon the Treasurer, vizt:

In favor of the Honorable Henry Hill, Esquire, for twenty-two pounds ten shillings, in full for his attendance as Counscilor until the last day of January, 1787:

And in favor of the Honorable Jonathan Hoge, Esquire, for thirty-one pounds five shillings, in full for his attendance in Council from the 25th day of January, until the twelfth day of February, 1787, inclusively.
