38 He aquí, vuestra casa os es dejada desierta.

39 Porque yo os digo, que desde ahora no me vereis, hasta que digais Bendito el que viene en el nombre del Señor.

CAPITULO XXIV. SALIDO Jesus templo,

Yfbase; y se llegaron sus dis: cípulos, para mostrarle los edificios del templo.

2 Y respondiendo él, les dijo: ¿Veis todo esto? De cierto os digo, que no será dejada aquí piedra sobre piedra que no sea derribada.

3 Y sentándose él en el monte de las Olivas, se llegaron á él los discípulos aparte, diciendo: Dínos cuando serán estas cosas, y qué señal habrá de tu venida, y del fin del siglo.

4 Y respondiendo Jesus, les dijo: Mirad que nadie os engañe.

5 Porque vendrán muchos en mi nombre, diciendo: Yo soy el Cristo; y á muchos engaña- | rán.

6 Y oireis guerras y rumores de guerras: mirad que no os turbeis; porque es menester que todo esto acontezca; mas aun no es el fin.

7 Porque se levantará nacion contra ̄nacion, y reino contra reino; y serán pestilencias, y hambres, y terremotos por los lugares.

8 Y todas estas cosas, principio de dolores.

9 Entonces os entregarán para ser afligidos; y os matarán; y sereis aborrecidos de todas naciones, por causa de mi nombre.

10 Y muchos entonces serán escandalizados; y se entregarán unos á otros; y unos á otros se aborrecerán.

11 Y muchos falsos profetas se

38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

CHAPTER XXIV.

AND fecus went out, temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.

2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11 And many false prophets

13 Mas el que perseverare hasta el fin, este será salvo.

14 Y será predicado este evangelio del reino en todo el mundo, por testimonio a todas las naciones, y entonces vendrá el fin.

15 Por tanto cuando viereis la abominacion de asolamiento, que fué dicha por Daniel el profeta, que estará en el lugar santo, el que lee, entienda.

16 Entonces los que estuvieren en Judea, huyan a los montes; 17 Y el que sobre la techumbre, no descienda á tomar algo de su casa;

18 Y el que en el campo, no vuelva atrás á tomar sus ropas.

19 Mas¡ ay de las preñadas, y de las que crian en aquellos dias!

20 Orad pues que vuestra huida no sea en invierno, ni en dia de sábado.

21 Porque habrá entonces grande afliccion, cual no fué desde el principio del mundo hasta ahora, ni será.

22 Y si aquellos dias no fuesen acortados, ninguna carne seria salva; mas por causa de los escogidos, aquellos dias serán acortados.

23 Entonces si alguien os dijere: He aquí, está el Cristo, ó allí; no creais.

24 Porque se levantaran falsos Cristos, y falsos profetas; y darán señales grandes y prodigios, de tal manera que engañarán, si es posible, aun á los escogidos.

25 He aquí, os lo he dicho ántes.

26 Así que si os dijeren: He aquí, en el desierto está; no

13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand,)

16 Then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains: 17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! 20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25 Behold, I have told you before.

26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the

39 Y no conocieron hasta que vino el diluvio, y los llevó á todos; así será tambien la venida del Hijo del hombre.

40 Entonces estarán dos en el campo; uno será tomado, y otro será dejado:

41 Dos mugeres moliendo á un molinillo; la una será tomada, y la otra será dejada.

42 T Velad pues, porque no sabeis á que hora ha de venir vuestro señor.

43 Esto empero sabed, que si el padre de familias supiese á cual vela el ladron habia de venir, velaria, y no dejaria minar su

casa.

44 Por tanto tambien vosotros estad apercibidos; porque el Hijo del hombre ha de venir á la hora que no pensais. 45¿Quién pues es el siervo fiely prudente, al cual su Señor puso sobre su familia, para que les dé alimento á tiempo?

46 Bienaventurado aquel siervo, al cual, cuando su Señor viniere, le hallare haciendo así.

47 De cierto os digo, que sobre todos sus bienes le pondrá.

48 Mas si aquel siervo malo dijere en su corazon: Mi señor se tarda de venir;

49 Y comenzare á herir sus compañeros, y aun á comer y beber con los borrachos :

50 Vendrá el Señor de aquel siervo el dia que él no espera, y á la hora que él no sabe,

51 Y le apartará, y pondrá su parte con los hipócritas: allí será el lloro, y el crujir de dientes.

39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 42 T Watch therefore; for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

49 Ånd shall begin to smite his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,

51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

CAPITULO XXV.

ENTONCES el reino de los

cielos será semejante á diez vírgenes, que tomando sus lámparas, salieron á recibir al esposo.

2 Y las cinco de ellas eran prudentes, y las cinco insensatas. 3 Las que eran insensatas, tomando sus lámparas, no tomaron aceite consigo.

4 Mas las prudentes tomaron aceite en sus vasos, juntamente con sus lámparas.

5 Y tardándose el esposo, cabecearon todas, y se durmieron.

6 Y á la media noche fué oido un clamor, que decia: He aquí, el esposo viene, salid á recibirle.

7 Entonces todas aquellas vírgenes se levantaron, y aderezaron sus lámparas.

8 Y las insensatas dijeron á las prudentes: Dádnos de vuestro aceite, porque nuestras lámparas se apagan.

9 Mas las prudentes respondieron, diciendo: Porque no nos falte á nosotras y á vosotras, id ántes á los que venden, y comprad para vosotras.

10 Yidas ellas á comprar, vino el esposo; y las que estaban apercibidas, entraron con él a las bodas; y se cerró la puerta.

11 Y despues vinieron tambien las otras vírgenes, diciendo: Señor, señor, ábrenos.

12 Mas respondiendo él, dijo: De cierto os digo, que no os co

nozco.

13 Velad pues, porque no sabeis el dia ni la hora, en la cual el Hijo del hombre ha de venir.

14 ¶ Porque el reino de los cielos es como un hombre que partiéndose lejos, llamó á sus siervos, y les entregó sus bienes.

15 Y á este dió cinco talentos,

CHAPTER XXV.

THEN shall the kingdom of

heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

13 Watch therefore; for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

14¶ For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

15 And unto one he gave five
