24 Porque en esperanza somos 24 For we are saved by hope: salvos: empero la esperanza but hope that is seen is not que se ve, no es esperanza; por- hope: for what a man seeth, que lo que alguño ve, ¿cómo why doth he yet hope for? aun lo espera? 25 Mas si lo que no vemos esperamos, por paciencia lo espe ramos. 26 Y asimismo tambien el Espíritu á una ayuda nuestra flaqueza; porque no sabemos lo que hemos de pedir como conviene; mas el mismo Espíritu intercede por nosotros con gemidos indecibles. 27 Mas el que escudriña los corazones, sabe cual es el deseo del Espíritu, porque conforme á la voluntad de Dios intercede por los santos. 28 Y sabemos, que todas las cosas obran juntamente para el bien de los que á Dios aman, es á saber, á los que conforme a su propósito son llamados. 29 Porque á los que antes conoció, tambien predestinó para que fuesen hechos conformes a la imágen de su Hijo, para que él sea el primogénito entre muchos hermanos. 25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. 26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his pur he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 31 What shall we then say to these things? (esto es, para traer de lo alto á Cristo.) 70, quién descenderá al abismo? (esto es, para volver traer a Cristo de los muertos.) 7 8 Mas qué dice? Cercana te está la palabra, es á saber, en tu boca, y en tu corazon. Esta es la palabra de fé la cual predica mos: 9 Que si confesares con tu boca al Señor Jesus, y creyeres en tu corazon que Dios le levantó de los muertos, serás salvo. 33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. CHAPTER X. BRETHREN, my heart's deprayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. 2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they, being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. 5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them. 6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) 7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) 8 But what saith it?
