33 Cualquiera que procurare salvar su vida, la perderá; y cualquiera que la perdiere, la vivificará.

34 Os digo, que en aquella noche estarán dos hombres en una cama: el uno será tomado, y el otro será dejado.

35 Dos mugeres estarán moliendo juntas: la una será tomada, y la otra será dejada.

36 Dos hombres estarán en el campo: el uno será tomado, y el otro será dejado.

37 Y respondiéndole, le dicen: ¿Donde, Señor? Y él les dijo: Donde estuviere el cuerpo, alla se juntarán tambien las águilas.

CAPITULO XVIII.
LES propuso tambien una

Y que

es menester orar siempre, y no desalentarse,

2 Diciendo: Habia un juez en una ciudad, el cual ni temia á Dios, ni respetaba á hombre alguno.

3 Habia tambien en aquella ciudad una viuda, la cual venia á él, diciendo: Házme justicia de mi adversario.

4 Mas él no quiso por algun tiempo: empero despues de esto, dijo dentro de sí: Aunque ni temo á Dios, ni tengo respeto á hombre ;

33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. 35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

CHAPTER XVIII.

Ahem this end, that men ND he spake a parable unto ought always to pray, and not to faint;

2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man :

3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary..

4And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

fin me muela.

6 Y dijo el Señor: Oid lo que dice el juez injusto.

7 ¿Y Dios no defenderá á sus escogidos que claman á él dia y noche, aunque sea longánimo acerca de ellos?

8 Os digo que los defenderá presto. Empero el Hijo del hombre, cuando viniere, ¿hallará fé en la tierra?

weary me.

6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. 7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

10 Dos hombres subieron al templo á orar, el uno Fariseo, y el otro publicano.

11 El Fariseo puesto en pié oraba consigo de esta manera: Dios, te hago gracias, que no soy como los otros hombres, ladrones, injustos, adúlteros; ni aun como este publicano.

12 Ayuno dos veces en la semana: doy diezmos de todo lo que poseo.

13 Mas el publicano estando lejos, no queria, ni aun alzar los ojos al cielo; mas hería su pecho, diciendo: Dios, ten misericordia de mí, pecador.

14 Os digo que este descendió á su casa justificado mas bien que el otro; porque cualquiera que se ensalza, será humillado; y el que se humilla, será ensalzado.

15 ¶ Y traian tambien á él niños para que les tocase, lo cual viéndolo sus discípulos, les reñian.

16 Mas Jesus llamándolos, dijo: Dejad los niños venir á mí, y no los impidais; porque de tales es el reino de Dios.

17 De cierto os digo, que cualquiera que no recibiere el reino de Dios como un niño, no entrará en él.

18 Y le preguntó un príncipe, diciendo: ¿Maestro bueno, qué haré para poseer la vida eterna?

19 Y Jesus le dijo: ¿Por qué me dices, bueno? ninguno hay bueno, sino uno solo, Ďios.

20 Los mandamientos sabes: No matarás: No adulterarás: No hurtarás: No dirás falso testimonio: Honra á tu padre, y á tu madre.

righteous, and despised others: 10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. 11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.

12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself. shall be exalted.

15 And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.

16 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good ? none is good, save one, that is, God.

20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.

21 Y él dijo: Todas estas cosas he guardado desde mi juventud. 22 Y Jesus oido esto, le dijo: Aun una cosa te falta: todo lo que tienes, véndelo, y dálo á los pobres, y tendrás tesoro en el cielo; y vén, sígueme.

23 Entonces él, oidas estas cosas, se entristeció sobre manera, porque era muy rico. 24 Y viendo Jesus que se habia entristecido mucho, dijo: ¡Cuán dificultosamente entrarán en el reino de Dios, los que tienen riquezas !

25 Porque mas facil cosa es entrar un camello por un ojo de una aguja, que un rico entrar en el reino de Dios.

26 Y los que lo oian, dijeron: ¿Y quién podrá ser salvo? 27 Y él les dijo: Lo que es imposible acerca de los hombres, posible es acerca de Dios.

28 Entonces Pedro dijo: He aquí, nosotros hemos dejado todas las cosas, y te hemos seguido.

29 Y él les dijo: De cierto os digo, que nadie hay que haya dejado casa, ó padres, o hermanos, ó muger, ó hijos, por el reino de Dios,

30 Que no haya de recibir mucho mas en este tiempo, y en el siglo venidero la vida eterna.

31 ¶Y Jesus tomando aparte los doce, les dijo: He aquí, subimos á Jerusalem, y serán cumplidas todas las cosas que fueron escritas por los profetas del Hijo del hombre.

32 Porque será entregado á los Gentiles, y será escarnecido, y injuriado, y escupido;

33 Y despues que le hubieren azotado, le matarán; mas al tercero dia resucitará.

34 Mas ellos nada de estas cosas

21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up. 22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.

24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

26 And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved? 27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

28 Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.

29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,

30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.

31 ¶ Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.

32 For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:

33 And they shall scourge him, and put him to death; and the third day he shall rise again. 34 And they understood none

35 TY aconteció, que acercándose él de Jerico, un ciego estaba sentado junto al camino mendigando,

36 El cual como oyó la multitud que pasaba, preguntaba qué era aquello.

37 Y le dijeron que Jesus Nazareno pasaba.

38 Entonces dió voces, diciendo: Jesus, Hijo de David, ten misericordia de mí.

39 Y los que iban delante, le reñian para que callase; empero él clamaba mucho mas: Hijo de David, ten misericordia de mí.

35 ¶ And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:

36 And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.

5 Y como vino á aquel lugar Jesus, mirando le vió, y le dijo: Zachéo, dáte priesa, desciende; porque hoy es menester que pose en tu casa.

5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zaccheus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.

came down, and received him joyfully.

7 And when they saw it, they

8 Entonces Zacheo, puesto en pié, dijo al Señor: He aquí, Señor, la mitad de mis bienes doy á los pobres; y si en algo he defraudado á alguno, se lo vuelvo con los cuatro tantos.

9 Y Jesus le dijo: Hoy ha venido la salvacion á esta casa; por cuanto tambien él es hijo de Abraham.

10 Porque el Hijo del hombre vino á buscar, y á salvar lo que se habia perdido.

11 ¶ Yoyendo ellos estas cosas, prosiguiendo él, dijo una parábola, por cuanto estaba cerca de Jerusalem; y porque pensaban que luego habia de ser manifestado el reino de Dios.

12 Dijo pues: Un hombre noble se partió á una tierra lejos, á tomar para sí un reino, y volver.

13 Y llamados diez siervos suyos, les dió diez minas, y les dijo: Negociad entre tanto que vengo.

14 Empero sus ciudadanos le aborrecian; y enviaron tras de él una embajada, diciendo: No queremos que este reine sobre nosotros.

15 Y aconteció, que vuelto él, habiendo tomado el reino, mandó llamar á sí á aquellos siervos, á los cuales habia dado el dinero, para saber lo que habia negociado cada uno.

8 And Zaccheus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.

9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forasmuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.

12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.

13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.

15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
