ACT 4426.

An act dedicating certain land in the city of Los Angeles for the purpose of widening Vermont Avenue, and directing the board of trustees of the state normal school at Los Angeles to convey the same to the city of Los Angeles for that purpose. [Approved June 5, 1913. Stats. 1913, p. 387.]

ACT 4427.

An act declaring that all tide-lands and submerged lands within the boundaries of the city of Los Angeles are required, and requiring such lands, for public purposes of commerce, navigation and fishing, and for purposes in aid thereof, and ratifying, approving and confirming the acts of the attorney general in bringing and prosecuting certain suits in the name of the people of the state of California, for the purpose of quieting title to, and for the recovery of the possession of said lands. [Approved June 6, 1913. Stats. 1913, p. 413.]

ACT 4428.

An act to appropriate money to be used as a revolving fund by the sixth district agricultural association for the purpose of creating, installing and maintaining special expositions at Exposition Park, Los Angeles. [Approved June 1, 1917. Stats. 1917, p. 1619.] The act appropriated $50,000 for the purpose indicated.

ACT 4429.

An act to appropriate money to be expended under the direction of the state board of control in co-operation with the federal government to carry out the project adopted by Congress for the protection of the navigability of Los Angeles and Long Beach harbors. [Approved May 22, 1919. Stats. 1919, p. 777.]

ACT 4430.

An act granting to the city of Los Angeles the swamp, overflowed and salt-marsh lands of the state within the boundaries of the said city.

[Approved June 3, 1921. Stats. 1921, p. 1327. In effect August 2, 1921.] § 1. Grant of lands to city of Los Angeles.

§ 1. Grant of lands to city of Los Angeles. There is hereby granted to the city of Los Angeles, a municipal corporation of the state of California, and to its successors, all the right, title and interest of the state of California in and to all swamp, overflowed and salt-marsh lands, whether filled or unfilled, owned by the state of California within the present boundaries of said city, to be forever held by said city, and by its successors, upon the same trusts and conditions, and for the same uses and purposes as the tide-lands and submerged lands within its boundaries are held by said city of Los Angeles under grant from the state of California by act approved April 20, 1917, entitled "An act to amend section one of an act entitled 'An act granting to the city of Los Angeles the tide-lands and submerged lands of the state within the boundaries of said city,' approved May 1, 1911.”

ACT 4431.

An act to appropriate money to be expended under the direction of the
state board of control in co-operation with the federal government to
carry out the project adopted by congress for the protection of the
navigability of Los Angeles and Long Beach harbors, and providing
for the future completion of the entire project. [Approved May 15,
1917. Stats. 1917, p. 533. In effect July 27, 1917.]
The act appropriated $250,000 for the purpose indicated.

ACT 4463.

An act to create a flood control district to be called "Los Angeles County flood control district"; to provide for the control and conservation of flood and storm waters, and for the protection of harbors, waterways, public highways and property in said district from damage from such waters, and for the construction of works and the acquisition of property therefor; to authorize the incurring of indebtedness and the voting, issuing and selling of bonds, and the levying and collecting of taxes by said district; to provide for the government and control of said district, and to define the powers and duties of the officers thereof. [Approved June 12, 1915. Stats. 1915, p. 1502.]

This act is constitutional: Los Angeles County Flood Control District v. Hamilton, 177 Cal. 119, 169 Pac. 1028.

An act appropriating money in furtherance of the objects of the Los Angeles county flood control act. [Approved June 3, 1921. Stats. 1921, p. 1292. In effect August 2, 1921.]

The act appropriated $3,000,000 for the purpose indicated, payable in annual installments of $300,000 each.

An act making an appropriation for the construction and maintenance of fire lanes and trails on the mountains composing the watersheds of Los Angeles county. [Approved May 25, 1921. Stats. 1921, p. 413. In effect July 29, 1921.]
