The following is a statement of the date of each accident, the place where it occurred, the train, the cause and the extent of the injuries inflicted upon each person, and the name of such person, as follows: 1871.

October 4. George Price jumped off train on Albany Division, at cemetery, and was injured slightly.

December 13. Jerry Lynch, while walking on track, above Mechanicville, in a drunken condition, fell in a cattle guard, and was unable to get out; was struck by evening passenger train, and killed.

1872.

March 2. James H. Boyce was killed by extra freight train above Waterford; was not seen by engineer; supposed to have been walking on track, and darkness prevented him from seeing the train.

March 9. Thomas Mainhood was killed at Ballston by cars starting as he was attempting to crawl under train; coroner's jury exonerated the company from blame.

January 2. Miles Ingersoll was killed four miles north of Saratoga; he was employed by company as watchman, and was supposed to be stooping for something near the track, when was struck by train ; coroner's jury acquitted the company from blame.

May 29. Michael McGrain, while attempting to drive horses, attached to a cart, across railroad track at Thacher street, Albany, was struck by approaching train; injured somewhat, but not seriously.

June 10. Wm. Reardon, brakeman on freight train, fell between cars at Fort Edward, and was instantly killed.

June 17. Chas. Van Netten, brakeman; had his left arm crushed while connecting cars at Comstock; arm amputated at wrist.

July 22. Wm. Wilson attempted to drive across track at Whitehall in advance of approaching train; train struck rear end of wagon, throwing him out and injuring him slightly.

July 31. Thos. Brennan, employed in building second track, Albany Division, attempted to hold horse attached to cart too near the track at West Troy. Train No. 10 struck and instantly killed him.

September 3. Oliver Thompson jumped from train at West Waterford while at full speed; he was told before getting on train that train did not stop, and also cautioned not to jump. He received injuries of which he died September 8.

SIR:- The Rhinebeck and Connecticut Railroad is now in course of construction, a portion of the grading is done, and one mile of iron is laid.

The Rondout and Port Jervis Railroad Company have only made surveys, and have not as yet done any work.
