There will be only two Eclipses this year, consequently both of the Sun. First will be an annular eclipse, February 23, invisible in the U. S. by reason of the Moon's South Latitude. Second also of the Sun, will be total. August, 18th day, Oh, 22 m. in the morning. Invisible because the sun will be below the horizon.

MORNING AND EVENING STARS.

VENUS will be Evening Star (east of the Sun) till July, 16th day, 0h 45 m. in the afternoon; then Morning Star (west of the Sun) till the close of the year.

MARS will be in conjunction with the Sun January, 2d day, lh, 23 m. in the morning: from that time Mars will be Morning Star till the end of the year. JUPITER will be Evening Star till March 10, then Morning Star till end of the year.
