13 Wehe euch, Schriftgelehrte ́und Pharifäer, ihr Heuchter, die ihr das Himmelreich zufchlieffet vor den Menschen ihr kommt nicht hinein, und die hinein wollen, laffet ihr nicht hinein gehen.

14 Wehe euch, Schriftgelehrte und Pharisäer, ihr euchler, die ihr der Wittwen Häuser fresset, und wendet lange Gebete vor: darum werdet ihr desto mehr Verdammniß empfangen. 15 Wehe euch, Schriftgelehrte und Pharifäer, ihr Heuchter, die ihr Land und Wasser umziehet, daß ihr einen Judengenossen machet; und wann er cs geworden ist, macht ihr aus ihm ein Kind der Hölle, zwiefältig mehr, denn ihr seyd.

16 Wehe euch, verblendete Leiter, die ihr faget: Wer da schwöret bey dem Tempel, das ist nichts; wer aber schwöret bey dem Golde am Tempel, der ist schuldig.

17 Jhr Narren und Blinde! was ist gröffer, das Gold, oder der Tempel, der das Gold heiliget?

18 Wer da schwöret bey dem Altare, das ist nichts; wer aber schwöret ben dem Opfer, das droben ist, der ist schuldig.

19 Ihr Narren und Blinde! was ist gröffer, das Opfer, oder der Altar, der das Opfer heiliget?

20 Darum, wer da schwöret beh dem Altare, der schwöret bey demselben, und beh allem, das droben ist.

21 Und wer da schwöret beh dem Tempel, der schwöret bey demselbigen, und bey dem, der darinnen wohnet.

22 Und wer da schwöret beh dem Himmel, der schwöret bey dem Stuhle Gottes, und beh dem, der darauf sitzt.

13 ¶ But wo unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering, to go in.

14 Wo unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. 15 Wo unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he is made, ye make him two-fold more the child of hell than yourselves.

16 Wo unto you, ye blind guides! which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor.

17 Ye fools, and blind! for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?

18 And whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.

19 Ye fools, and blind! for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?

20 Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon.

21 And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein.

22 And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.

25 Wehe euch, Schriftgelehrte und Pharifäer, ihr Heuchler, die ihr die Becher und Schüsseln auswendig reinlich haltet, inwendig aber ist es voll Naubes und Fraffes.

26 Du blinder Pharifäer, reinige zum ersten das Inwendige am Becher und Schüssel, auf daß auch das Auswendige rein werde.

27 Wehe euch, Schriftgelehrte und Pharifäer, ihr euchler, die ihr gleich send wie die übertünchten Gräber, welche auswendig hübsch scheinen, aber inwendig sind sie voller Todtenbeine, und alles Unflats.

28 Also auch ihr: von aussen scheinet ihr vor den Menschen fromm; aber inwendig seyd ihr voller Heucheleh und Untugend.

29 Wehe euch, Schriftgelehrte und Pharifaer, ihr Heuchler, die ihr der Propheten Gräber bauet, und schmüdet der Gerechten Gräber,

30 und sprechet: Wären wir zu unserer Väter Zeiten gewesen, so wollten wir nicht theilhaftig seyn mit ihuen an der Propheten Blute.

31 Eo gebt ihr zwar über euch selbst Zeugniß, daß ihr Kinder seyð derer, die die Propheten getödtet haben.

32 Wohlan, erfüllet auch ihr das Maß eurer Väter.

33 Ihr Schlangen, ihr Otternge= züchte, wie wollt ihr der höllischen Verdammniß entrinnen?

34 Darum fiehe, ich sende zu euch Propheten, und Weise, und Schrift gelehrte; und derselbigen werdet ihr etliche tödten und kreuzigen, und etliche werdet ihr geiffeln in euren Schulen, und werdet sie verfolgen von einer Stadt zu der andern;

35 Auf daß über euch komme alles das gerechte Blut, das vergossen ist auf Erden, von dem Blut an des gerechten Abels, bis auf das Blut Zachariä, Barachiä Sohn, welchen ihr getödtet habt zwischen dem Tempel und Altare.

36 Wahrlich, ich sage euch, daß solches alles wird über dieß Geschlecht kom

men.

25 Wo unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.

26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

27 Wo unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.

23 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

29 Wo unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,

30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.

31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.

32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.

33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes; and some of them ye shall kill and crucify, and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:

35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel, unto the blood of Zacharias, son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. 36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation!

37 Jerusalem, Jerusalem, die du tödteft die Propheten, und steinigest, die zu dir gesandt sind! wie oft habe ich deine Kinder versammeln wollen, wie eine Henne versammelt ihre Küchlein unter ihre Flügel; und ihr habt nicht gewollt.

38 Siche, euer Haus soll euch wüste gelassen werden.

39 Denn ich sage euch: Ihr werdet mich von jetzt an nicht sehen, bis ihr fprechet: Gelobet sey, der da kommt im Namen des Herrn.

Das 24 Capitel.

37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! 38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

CHAPTER XXIV.

ND Jesus went out, and de

Tempel, und seine Jünger traten zu ihm, daß sie ihm zeigten des Tempels Gebäude.

2 Jesus aber sprach zu ihnen: Sehet ihr nicht das alles? Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Es wird hier nicht ein Stein auf dem andern bleiben, der nicht zerbrochen

werde..

3 Und als er auf dem Oehlberge saß, traten zu ihm seine Jünger besonders, und sprachen: Sage uns, wann wird das geschehen? Und welches wird das Zeichen seyn deiner Zukunft, und der Welt Ende?

4 Jesus aber antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Sehet zu, daß euch nicht Jemand verführe.

5 Denn es werden Viele kommen unter meinem Namen und sagen: Ich bin Christus, und werden Viele verführen.

6 Ihr werdet hören Kriege und Geschrey von Kriegen: Sehet zu, und erschrecket nicht. Das muß zum ersten alles geschehen; aber es ist noch nicht das Ende da.

7 Denn es wird sich empören ein Volf über das andere, und ein Königreich über das andere, und werden sehn Pestilenz und theure Zeit, und Erdbeben hin und wieder.

8 Da wird sich allererst die Noth anheben.

9 Alsdann werden ste euch überantworten in Trübsal, und werden euch

his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.

2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

3 ¶ And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

6 And ye shall hear of wars, and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes in divers places.

8 All these are the beginning of

sorrows.

9. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you:

tödten. Und ihr müsset gehasset werden, um meines Namens willen von allen Völkern.

10 Dann werden sich Biele ärgern, und werden sich unter einander verra then, und werden sich unter einander haffen.

11 Und es werden sich viele falsche Propheten erheben, und werden Viele verführen.

12 Und dieweil die Ungerechtigkeit wird überhand nehmen, wird die Liebe in Vielen erfalten.

13 Wer aber beharret bis an das Ende, der wird selig.

14 Und es wird geprediget werden! das Evangelium vom Reiche in der ganzen Welt, zu einem Zeugnisse über alle Völker; und dann wird das Ende fommen.

15 Wann ihr nun sehen werdet den Greuel der Verwüstung, davon gesagt ist durch den Propheten Daniel, daß er ftehe an der heiligen Stätte; (wer das licset, der merke darauf.)

16 Alsdann fliehe auf die Berge, wer im Jüdischen Lande ist.

17 Und wer auf dem Dache ist, der steige nicht hernieder, etwas aus seinem Hause zu holen.

18 Und wer auf dem Felde ist, der fehre nicht um, seine Kleider zu holen.

19 Wehe aber den Schwangern und Säugerinnen zu der Zeit.

20 Bittet aber, daß cure Flucht nicht geschche im Winter, oder am Sabbath.

and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world, for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end

come.

15 When ye, therefore, shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand,) 16 Then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains:

17 Let him which is on the house top not come down to take any thing out of his house:

18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

19 And wo unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath-day:

22 Und wo diese Tage nicht würden verkürzet, so würde kein Mensch errettet; aber um der Auserwählten willen werden die Tage verkürzet.

23 Eo alsdann Jemand zu cuch wird sagen: Siche, hier ist Christus, oder da: so sollt ihr es nicht glauben.

24 Denn co werden falsche Christi und faliche Propheten aufstehen, und grosse Zeichen und Wunder thun, daß

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and won

verführet werden in den Irrthum (wo c8 möglich wäre) auch die Auserwählten.

25 Siche, ich habe es euch zuvor ge= fagt.

26 Darum, wann sie zu euch sagen werden; Siehe, er ist in der Wüste, fo gehet nicht hinaus; Siche, er ist in Der Kammer, so glaubet es nicht.

27 Denn gleichwie der Blitz ausgehet vom Aufgange, und scheinet bis zum Niedergange; also wird auch seyn die Zukunft des Menschen Sohnes.

28 Wo aber ein Aas ist, da sammeln sich die Adler.

32 An dem Feigenbaume lernet ein Gleichniß. Wann sein Zweig jetzt faftig wird, und Blätter gewinnet, fo wisset ihr, daß der Sommer nahe ist. 33 Also auch, wann ihr dieß alles fehet; so wisset, daß es nahe vor der Thüre ist.

34 Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Dieß Geschlecht wird nicht vergehen, bis daß dieses alles geschehe.

35 Himmel und Erde werden verge= hen, aber meine Worte werden nicht vergehen.

36 Von dem Tage aber, und von der Stunde weiß Niemand, auch die Engel nicht im Himmel; sondern allein mein Vater.

25 Behold, I have told you before.

26 Wherefore, if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it

not.

27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

28 For wheresoever the carcass is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days, shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken : 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

32 Now learn a parable of the fig-tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass

36 T But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
