BE IT REMEMBERED, That on the eleventh day of September, in the forty-first year of the Independence of the United States of America, Wil(L. S.) liam Cranch, of the said district, hath deposited in this office, the title of a

book, the right whereof he claims as author, in the words following, to wit:

"Reports of Cases argued and adjudged in the Supreme Court of the United States, in "February term, 1812, and February term, 1818. Vol. VII. By WILLIAM CRANCH, Chief "Judge of the Circuit Court of the district of Columbia. Potius ignoratio juris litigiosa est, "quam scientia.

In conformity to the act of the Congress of the United States, intituled "An act for the encouragement of learning, by securing the copies of maps, charts and books, to the authors and proprietors of such copies, during the times therein mentioned."
