SIR: In obedience to "An act to regulate and fix the compensation of the clerks in the different offices," I have the honor to transmit a statement shewing the names of the clerks employed in the several offices of the Treasury Department, in the year 1826; the time each clerk was actually employed; and the sum paid to each.
